Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Renee's Cleaning Services website or booking application ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

The Platform is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals seeking residential or commercial cleaning services in Townsville and surrounds, Queensland, Australia.

You must be at least 18 years of age to submit bookings, quote requests, or enter into any service agreement via this Platform.

Quotes and price estimates provided through the Platform (including the calculator tool) are indicative only. Final pricing is confirmed by Renee's Cleaning Services prior to or upon arrival at the property.

Quotes are based on information provided by the client. If the actual condition or size of the property differs materially from what was described, the final price may be adjusted.

Estimates generated by automated tools (such as the Calculator page) do not constitute a binding contract. A confirmed booking or written quote acceptance is required.

For properties with extreme dirtiness, biohazard conditions, hoarding, mould, or other special circumstances, a site inspection or photo review may be required before a final quote is provided.

Submitting a booking request via the Platform does not guarantee a confirmed appointment until you receive written or verbal confirmation from Renee's Cleaning Services.

We will make every reasonable effort to attend on your preferred date and time. In rare circumstances beyond our control (illness, weather, equipment failure), we may need to reschedule. We will contact you as early as possible if this occurs.

Recurring bookings (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) are subject to ongoing availability and may be adjusted by either party with reasonable notice.

Payment is due on the day of service unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation.

A deposit may be required for new clients, large jobs, or specialised services. Deposit requirements will be clearly communicated before the booking is confirmed.

Invoices not paid within the agreed timeframe may incur a late payment fee at our discretion.

GST is not included unless it is specifically stated on a written quote or invoice.

Private aged-care cleaning is charged at $95 per hour with a 2-hour minimum ($190). Approved provider-funded or invoiced aged-care services are charged at $92 per hour, subject to the applicable provider agreement and invoicing requirements.

The first 10 km of travel is included. Travel beyond the first 10 km is charged at $1.00 per kilometre unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service fee.

No-shows (where our cleaner arrives and cannot access the property) may be charged in full.

If you need to cancel due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, please contact us directly — we are happy to work with you.

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.

You are responsible for securing or removing fragile, sentimental, or high-value items prior to cleaning. Renee's Cleaning Services takes all reasonable care, but we accept no liability for damage to items left unsecured.

You agree to disclose any known hazards, health risks, or special conditions at the property (e.g. mould, pests, biohazard material) before the service commences.

Pets should be secured or removed from the area being cleaned to ensure the safety of both our staff and your animals.

The property must have access to running water and electricity unless otherwise agreed.

Renee's Cleaning Services will perform all services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Our liability for any claim arising from a cleaning service is limited to the cost of the service performed.

We are not liable for: pre-existing damage or wear; damage caused by unsecured or fragile items; loss of income or consequential losses; or damage resulting from access conditions that were not disclosed to us.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded by contract.

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including attempting to access systems without authorisation, submitting false or misleading information, or using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

You must not use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Platform without prior written permission.

We reserve the right to refuse service or suspend access to the Platform for any user who breaches these Terms or behaves in a way that is unsafe, disrespectful, or unlawful.

Your use of this Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We collect and use personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

To request deletion of your personal data, please visit our Data Deletion page or email us directly.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the effective date noted below.

Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
